Federico Moretti
An Italian from Naples, who lived in Spain and
rose to high rank in the Spanish army. He composed many songs
and music of many kinds, especially for guitar. He wrote a
method for the guitar which went through many editions and
printings. The brother of Luigi Moretti.
An interesting and thorough investigation into
Moretti's
participation in the Guerra de la Independencia, including his
bravery at the Battle of Evora, has been made by Josep Maria Mangado. |
