Volume 1
A complete facsimile reprint of the first edition of 1812 of Mauro Giuliani's Studio per la Chitarra, op. 1, with a new introduction. 
The book has four parts: 120 arpeggios for the right hand; sixteen pieces designed especially for left hand practice; twelve examples on style and ornaments; and twelve lessons.

Volume 2
The earliest works for guitar solo which Giuliani published in Vienna, from 1807 to 1810, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 2: Six Variations.
  • Op. 3: Three Rondos.
  • Op. 4: Six Variations on "Nel cor più non mi sento".
  • Op. 5: New Rondo in imitation of the sound of the bells of Bologna (allegro vivace).
  • Op. 6: Eight Variations.
  • Op. 7: Six Variations on a theme from the ballet "Die feindlichen Volksstämme".
  • Op. 8: Three Rondos.
  • Op. 9: Six Variations (a fine expressive work, in which Variation 6 is in the form of a polonaise).
  • Op. 10: Amusements.
  • Op. 11: Caprice (another fine work, allegro vivace, similar in some ways to the well-known Sonata opus 15, which despite its higher opus number had in fact been published earlier, in 1808).
  • Op. 12: Twelve Monferrine.

Volume 3
Eight works for guitar solo, in reprints of the first editions:

  • Op. 14: Six Progressive Rondos.
  • Op. 15: Giuliani's celebrated Sonata, which is here presented in two reprints, both given in full: the first edition of 1808 (rather hard to read), and the second edition of 1812 (much clearer). The Sonata is also available from Tecla published separately, as a re-engraved modern edition (TECLA 0497; free on request to purchasers of Volume 3).
  • Op. 16b: Pieces from the ballet "Il Barbiere di Siviglia".
  • Op. 17: Three Rondos.
  • Op. 18: First Potpourri. Op. 20: Six Variations on an original theme.
  • Op. 21: Twelve waltzes.
  • Op. 22: Twelve new Wald-Ländler.

Volume 4

  • Op. 42: Quatrième Potpourri.
  • Op. 43: Les Variétés Amusantes ou Dépôt de pièces faciles (easy pieces, of which a second part was published later as op. 54).

Volume 6
Six works for guitar solo first published in Vienna in 1813-15, in reprints of the first editions.

In particular, anyone wishing to have the authentic text of the famous studies op. 48, will find it here, in the original unaltered edition. (No modern fingering or other modern additions.) (The studies op. 48 are also now availablein the new Tecla modern re-engraved edition as part of Giuliani's Complete Studies for guitar, especially for students, or separately.)

  • Op. 45: Six variations on "Folies d'Espagne" (a fine set of variations on this celebrated theme).
  • Op. 46: Choix de mes fleurs chéries ou Le Bouquet Emblématique (ten delightful pieces bearing the names of flowers: Le Myrte, La Rose, etc.).
  • Op. 47: Twelve easy variations on an Austrian national air.
  • Op. 48: Esercizio (this is the well-known set of 24 pieces of technical difficulty).
  • Op. 49: Six variations on "I bin a Kohlbauern Bub".
  • Op. 50: Le Papillon.

Volume 7
Seven works for guitar solo first published in Vienna in 1813-20, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 51:XVIII Lecons Progressives (a collection of technical pieces).
  • Op. 54:Les Variétés Amusantes ou Recueil de pièces faciles (easy pieces, of which the first part was published earlier as op. 43).
  • Op. 56: Divertimenti (the third set; opp. 37 and 40 were the first and second sets respectively).
  • Op. 57: 12 Walzer.
  • Op. 58: Six Ländlers, six walses et six Ecossaises.
  • Op. 59: Recueil de pièces faciles et agréables.
  • Op. 60: XI Variazioni per Chitarra sul Tema originale Russo (a fine set of variations on the well-known Russian theme known as "Schöne Minke").

Volume 8
Seven works for guitar solo, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 61: Grande Ouverture (the well-known dramatic and often recorded piece. This work is also available from Tecla published separately as TECLA 549).
  • Op. 62: Six variations on an original theme.
  • Op. 64: Six variations on the Russian air "Poschaluite sudarina" (this fine set of variations, which may be compared with op. 60, combines the popular nature of the Russian tune with Giuliani's inventiveness. The sixth variation is in the form of a lively polonaise. This work is also available from Tecla published separately as TECLA 552).
  • Op. 70: Variations (from Guitar Concerto op. 70).
  • Op. 71: Three sonatinas (easy pieces for beginners). This work is also available from Tecla published separately as TECLA 564, and the sonatina op. 71 no. 3 is also now available 2008 in a new Tecla re-engraved edition for the Associated Board syllabus, TECLA 2564-3.
  • Op. 72: Eight variations on a duet from the opera "Jeannot et Colin".
  • Op. 73: Bagatelles.

  • Op. 100: Etudes instructives (one of Giuliani's best-known works, containing 24 pieces).
  • Op. 101: Variations on "Deh! calma, o ciel" from Rossini's Otello (a particularly fine set of variations).
  • Op. 102: Variations on "Nume perdonami, se in tal instante" from Generali's I Baccanali di Roma.

Volume 11
Eight works for guitar solo, some first published in Vienna and some in Milan, following Giuliani's departure from Vienna to Italy in 1819, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 103: Variations on a favourite waltz.
  • Op. 104: Variations on "Partant pour la Syrie" (a virtuoso set of variations).
  • Op. 105: Variations on a romance from the opera Liebe und Ruhm.
  • Op. 106: Divertissement.
  • Op. 107: Variations on a theme of Handel ["The harmonious blacksmith"]. (This work is also available separately as TECLA 1605).
  • Op. 108: Potpourri Nazionale Romano (a remarkable work based on popular music of Rome).
  • Op. 109: La Caccia, Gran Rondò (a virtuoso work).
  • Op. 110: Variations on a march by Cherubini.

Volume 12
Six works for guitar solo, some first published in Vienna and some in Milan, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 111: Le Ore d'Apollo (an extensive collection of eleven easy pieces).
  • Op. 112: Sei Grande Variazioni.
  • Op. 113: Fughetta.
  • Op. 114: Variations on a theme by Carafa.

Volume 13
The six Rossiniane complete, opp. 119-124, Giuliani's six famous works based on airs from Rossini's operas, complete in one volume. These are among his most brilliant music. Reprints of the first editions.

Volume 14
Eight works for guitar solo, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 128: Variations on "Io ti vidi e t'adorai" by Pacini.
  • Op. 139: 24 Primi Lezioni, Parte Prima (six pieces).
  • Opp. 140-145: Six sets of variations on Neapolitan popular melodies.

Volume 15
Four works for guitar solo, in reprints of the first editions.

  • Op. 147: La Tersicore del Nord (some of Giuliani's most charming pieces in very simple style for beginners).
  • Op. 147b: Variations on "Tengo più di trent'un anni".
  • Op. 148: Giulianate (eight charming works with expressive titles such as "La Risoluzione", "L'Allegria", etc.).
  • Op. 150: Gran Sonata Eroica (the celebrated sonata. This work is also available from Tecla published separately as TECLA 633).

Volume 16
Seven works for guitar solo without opus number, in reprints of the first editions:

  • Three Marches.
  • Rondongino Brillante.
  • Three themes of Madame Catalani. This work consists of Giuliani's settings for guitar of three themes which were sung by the famous Madame Catalani, and his settings are based on the variations which she herself sang in virtuoso style to great applause in her own time.  The best-known theme is from Mozart's Magic Flute and is the same theme on which Sor based his op. 9.  We understand that at present (2007) this work by Giuliani is prescribed for the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada.
  • Four favourite pieces of Madame Catalani.
  • Variations on a Savoyard theme.
  • Six national Scottish airs (includes "Coming through the rye", "The blue-bells of Scotland", etc.).
  • Variations.

Volume 17
Seven operatic works arranged for guitar solo (without opus number), in reprints of the first editions:

  • Overture to Rossini's La Cenerentola.
  • Cavatina "Nel furor" from Bellini's Il Pirata.
  • Allegro cantabile from "Tu vedrai" from Bellini's Il Pirata.

Seventeen arrangements for guitar solo from Rossini's Semiramide, in reprints of the first editions. Includes a splendid arrangement of the overture.
